alonetogether is a score that invites an encounter with another in a shared space, with a commitment to explore potential experiences of ethical relationality. The score is a short text with a series of invitations and prompts. It takes place in 3 phases: moving (without speaking), performative writing (individually), interreading (aloud). The work reveals thresholds of relationality and invites consideration of the question “what is imposing?”
I presented a paper on this practice-as-research work at the Dance Studies Association.
